With the accolades multi-talented Filipinos have received worldwide, it is not uncommon to have emerging Filipino talents every now and then. What makes 2011 HYD Fashion Face Off unique is its advocacy to annually feature new and young fashion designers by showcasing their designs in an eCommerce site. The designers are given a budget to work with and at the end of the nine month-long competition, the designer with the highest revenue wins.
The Hot Young Designers Marketing Company is a partnership with Ginger Arboleda and Sharon Teng. Designers presented their previous designs and were tasked to come up with RTW designs during the screening interview. This year’s five designer contestants are:
I am proud of Filipino products and I am looking forward in seeing their designs (and getting some for myself, too). There’s always room for Pinoy products in my closet J I’ll try to look at their designs in my next posts so check back soon.
